New minimum wage rates for 2026 announced

The new minimum wage rates applicable in North Cyprus from 1 January 2026 were published in the Official Gazette dated 9 January 2026.

The new gross figures are: 60,618.00 TL per month, 13,988.76 TL per week, 2,797.75 TL per day and 349.71 TL per hour.

The change does not only affect employees earning the minimum wage. All calculations indexed to the minimum wage, payrolls and employment contracts need to be updated to the new figures. Social insurance contributions and severance related calculations can also be affected.
